Needed: Fosters

Fostering is always a big need for the shelter. Cats and dogs are constantly walking through the doors at the Jeffersonville Animal Shelter. By expanding the shelter walls you can give a temporary home to a pet in need.

Most of our fosters work full time and have pets of their own. Many families enjoy fostering, as the experience teaches children how they can personally make a difference in an animal's life.

If you haven't fostered an animal before, give it a try! You'll find it to be a rewarding experience, and you will know that you are helping save lives in Clark County.

If you would like to foster, please complete a foster application and email it to kashcraft@cityofjeff.net or bring it by the shelter. If you would like more information about fostering contact us 812-282-0071 or stop by the shelter.

If long term fostering is not for you try out our Doggy Day Out! Take a dog on an adventure for a few hours by going hiking, walking around downtown or going to a pet store to pick out a treat. All volunteers must be 18 years old and must call in advance to schedule taking a dog off shelter property.
